POSITION DETAIL
Title: Senior Credit Analyst
Credit assessment and credit underwriting of Mercedes-Benz dealers and other corporates in the Passenger Car segment, Shinpan business, and other financing products such as factoring, working capital loans etc. The credit risk assessment includes a full understanding of the borrower's group structure and the comprehensive analysis of the borrower's business and financial performance in terms of business strategy evaluation, profitability, cash flows, liquidity, leverage, stability and other analysis. The credit assessment and the respective analysis should be documented in English and shall comply with the Mercedes-Benz Global Credit and Product Rules.
JOB DESCRIPTION
-Perform credit assessment of Mercedes-Benz Dealers and corporate fleet customers
-Align and negotiate credit line need with Sales Team
-Analyze customer's business and financials (P&L, liquidity, cash flows, B/S structure, funding strategy etc.)
-Assess collateral risk
-Document the result of analysis and decision in a system in English
-Manage stakeholders in harmony
-Explain the rationale of credit decision recommendation to higher approval levels regularly (Manager, Head of Credit, HQ approvers)
-Contribute to enhance credit processes for digitalization and efficiency improvement
-Lead and/or contribute to credit related projects on local, regional and global level.
-Team building and people development of junior members not only in dealer/fleet credit team, but also in retail team.

-Senior analyst position of dealer/ corporate fleet credit
-After working for several years in this position, the position holder has a possibility to experience different position (e.g. Sales, Operations, Finance & Controlling and more) or pursue management position depending on development level.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Education & work experience
-A university degree in business administration, finance, economics, statistics or equivalents are desirable, but not required. We rather prioritize work experiences and motivation.
-Approx. 5 years and more of underwriting practice, working experience in the credit area of banks / financial institutions/ credit rating agencies/ financial service provider etc.
-Knowledge in automotive industry is preferred but not mandatory
-Project management experience
2. Technical Knowledge
-Japanese and English: Good command in reading, writing and speaking
-MS Office: Intermediate
3. Desirable person
-Advanced financial analysis competency to make accountable credit decisions
-Analytical, Logical thinker
-Good communication skills both in English and in Japanese
-Customer oriented and willing to go extra miles
-Willing to enjoy challenges, changes and diversified working environment
