Position Responsibility: Responsible for maintaining the payroll system, processing biweekly and semi-monthly payroll. Reviewing employee timesheet and other payroll/finance files. Coordination directly with Human Resources and Finance Department to ensure consistent messaging related to pay and benefit packages. Staying current with all wage and hour laws and process payroll within those guidelines is a requirement.
Position Duties: Manage compensation packages using payroll software- ADP Workforce Now Collect and verify timekeeping information for all employees Calculate pay according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime Calculate bonuses and commissions when appropriate Manage and calculate taxes and deductions Initiate periodical payments timely either by preparing and administering checks or making direct deposits through a bank payment system Review benefits, reconcile, and pay monthly benefit statements. Issues statements and invoices and maintain records Update paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll Ability to problem solve software and tech issues Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to supervisor Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures, and reporting needed changes. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. Ensuring compliance with current government regulations Communicate and administer wage garnishment as directed by state, federal and local agencies Performing data entry and reconciling timecards Review employee timecards for accuracy, completeness and make sure employees are clocking in onsite Assist employees to enter hours on their timecards or to change hours entered incorrectly Answer basic and complex timekeeping questions Other duties as assigned Requirements: Proven experience as payroll clerk or payroll coordinator Familiarity with general accounting principles Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality Solid knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and regulations Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. ADP-WFN) Exquisite math and numerical skills Outstanding organizational and time management skills Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in accounting/business administration is a plus Benefits: Highly competitive pay based on skills/experience Group Health Plan (Medical, Dental, Vision) Voluntary Insurance Employer Assistance Program Flexible Spending Account Plan Paid Holidays Paid Time Off 401K Retirement Plan Our employees are members of the family, who share our same goals and passions.
