Description:Join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in our Family Medicine Clinic, serving our community with compassion and expertise. We offer shifts between 8.5 to 10.5 hours on weekdays, allowing for work-life balance and a maximum of 80 hours per 2-week period. Your dedication ensures our patients receive top-notch care while maintaining your well-being.
Core Duties: Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.Check patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form. Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.Complete lab and x-ray requisitions following Clinic policies.Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departure time when the patient is released.Requirements: Degree: CertificateEducation: Graduate from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assistant training program, or equivalent formal training in the US Armed ForcesCertification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant by AAMA or AMT, or equivalent formal programExperience:Certified Medical Assistant: One year post-graduation experienceNHCP and Associated Branch Clinics: Six months post-graduation experienceAlternative Education: Graduation from ACCSC, ACICS, ACCET, or ACCJC accredited programsAlternative Certification: Certified by NHA or other formal certifying programBenefits: Competitive SalaryHealth BenefitsRetirement PlanPaid Time OffApply Today:If you are passionate about patient care and meet the qualifications, we'd love to hear from you!
