Job summary
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to guide and carry out global leadership development programs aimed at accelerating development out of Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be part of a diverse global People team, working collaboratively with HR business partners, COE teams, external strategic partners, and business leaders. You will plan, organize, and administer established accelerated development programs and provide management support for pilot programs and associated initiatives. Your success will be measured by your ability to create impactful development experience for participants, recruit and engage support networks, and demonstrate ROI to executive sponsors. You will work under the general oversight of the principal leadership architect and report directly to the Senior Director for Integrated People Solutions.
Primary job responsibilities
Create detailed objectives and plans to guide the communication, implementation, and evaluation of leadership programs and solutions
Sync program phases and schedules with Red Hat’s business cycles and major events
Follow and refine the Service Delivery Model to lead the efficiency and scalability of each program
Develop budgets and funding scenarios to support program implementation and new program development
Direct the development of collateral materials to support awareness and understanding of program structure, objectives, and requirements
Recruit, engage, and enable robust networks of managers, coaches, mentors, alumni, and senior leaders to support leadership development programs and initiatives
Manage the delivering of leadership programs and solutions through the optimal use of support networks, internal business partners, SMEs, and trusted outside consultants and providers
Identify, track, and analyze specific program metrics to measure the impact of programs and solutions
Create and follow a cadence for regular Executive Reviews with sponsors and other stakeholders
Evaluate program participants with regard to engagement and readiness; share appropriate information and insights with senior leaders and business partners
Offer opportunities to use accelerated programs as innovation labs for the development of new and refined approaches to leadership development
Stay current on research and developments related to enhancing leadership talent; apply best practices for creating scalable programs
Required skills
Bachelor's degree that provides a solid foundation for program management and adult learning
8+ years of experience managing global leadership development programs, including executive development
Experience in managing business leader succession
Experience working directly with executive leaders
Solid written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated ability to select, orient, and manage multiple vendors
Track record of ability to manage program budgets in excess of $1.2M
Demonstrated ability to conduct robust program evaluations with ROI measures
