Android Developer Remoto

We are looking for Android Developers based in Buenos Aires, Argentina to work on a long term project for one of our clients, an electronics startup with teams in Los Angeles and Seattle.

Project Description

The engineering team in Buenos Aires will we working on the development of a custom distribution of Android that will run on a proprietary hardware currently under development.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Job Requirements / Experience

6+ years software development experience in Java or C/C++

4+ years experience with Android framework and application development

Deep understanding of the Android SDK

Deep understanding of client/service based architectures and messaging protocols

Experience working with social graphs or chat applications

Experience owning the overall release and QA cycles of your code

Skills

Personally driven with a bias for action

Ability to work independently and implement product features from start to finish

Curious and willing to investigate and experiment with new technologies

Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment

Strong object oriented design and coding skills and computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complex analysis

Ability to distill problem definitions, models and constraints from informal business requirements, and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives

Willingness to iterate on a product with user feedback and usage metrics

Contributions to open source projects

Experience working with custom Android mods (CyanogenMod, AOKP, etc)
