As a member of the Production Support team, you will be responsible for managing the production and lower environments for an internally developed application called Risk Central. The role will have business/client service oriented culture. The role will be highly technical, digging into problems and resolving/improving the environment. Intellectual curiosity, willingness to ask questions and improve environment are paramount. Knowledge of Risk calculation and reporting is a plus in addition to Fixed Income and Equities trade processing/system flow. The role will be high energy, high purpose, high tempo. This role and this team will be "devops".

General Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Working as part of a global team on a shift based rota.
- Performing troubleshooting / triage of incidents.
- Incident management with relevant escalation of high priority incidents to appropriate stakeholders.
- Providing monitoring support at the infrastructure, application and middleware layers.
- Resolving and reporting of incidents for the production environments.
- Help to create and maintain production support documentation and assist on projects when directed.
- Manage SLAs with internal and external teams.
- Own incidents and problems and work to get to detailed root cause analysis and suggest workarounds and/or solutions for recurring issues.
- Implement continuous process improvement, including but not limited to: policy, procedures, and production monitoring.
- Develop and maintain relationships with technical staff, end users and clients.
- Identify and drive changes to make efficiencies with current workload of team.

Required Skills

- Possess fantastic trouble-shooting skills, are driven to help internal/external customers and have the ability to dive deep into a new product to learn it inside and out
- Demonstrate sound analytical and diagnostic skills dealing with issues that are not readily defined and/or conflict with available information, ability to reach sound decisions quickly.
- Excellent problem management skills and relentless drive for root cause and execute measures to reduce repeat occurrence.
- Ability to multi-task in a high pace environment and drive efficiencies to change the bank.
- Strong ability to act and influence as a change agent.

Required Experience

- Proficiency in scripting (Phython, Shell etc).
- Linux, Database experience.
- Strong technical knowledge, SDLC, and software development background.
- Experience working in financial services industry particularly in a Risk Management area is a plus.
- Experience working as part of a support group is a plus.
