Job Description - Assistant Manager, GD & CKD Controller (MER0002W36)
Description
Operative Planning, Expected Actuals, Forecast and Financial Target Review (FTR) : · Involve in GDM planning, controlling and liaise with relevant parties to meet SEAII/MBAG guidelines and efficiency objectives.
· Analyze and provide commentary on actual results deviations against planning targets and forecasts .
· Prepare key financial results with deviation analysis for timely management decisions.
· M anage SEAII GD and Project Island Target Agreement process including review of proposed targets, verification of bonus accruals and achievement.
· Facilitate structured bottom-up planning at CKD Production (framed by FMO guidelines) to form the base for discussions of top-down requirements with MO leading to defining target agreement (Production cost, Investment as well as Manpower Planning).
· Assist in monitoring, steering the business units to navigate towards target achievement (OP, Actuals, Forecast).
Product Pricing and Profitability Analysis for GD Markets and Project Island · Participate actively in GD & Project Island meetings to discuss pricing matters with relevant parties and Overseas colleagues.
· Evaluate and analyze the impact of tax changes in the GD markets & Project Island on vehicle pricing, profitability and Special Discounts KPI.
Production Reporting for MB Malaysia: · Analyse and comment monthly KPI Report for submission to FMO on Own Cost, Production Cost, Investment Report and Manpower status monthly and annually to FMO by working closely with Head of Controlling and MBC G&A responsible for the impact planning and submission as well Licensing and Trademark reporting.
· Maintain approved budget in SAP's Fund Management module and monitor HRe approval production related topics
Closing and Planning for Project Island · Monthly closing for Project Island. Actively align and collaborate with Overseas colleagues in relation to CKD kits revenue and cost reporting in Impact system.
· Coordinate Planning for Project Island
· Handle M-tools for pricing review for Project Island.
Internal Control System (Coordination) · M aintain an adequate internal control system and ensure adherence to corporate compliance regulations.
· Set up process and coordination of design and testing of internal controls and of remediation activities for areas requiring improvement.
Process in own responsibility: · Ensure timely and accurate reviews of Cost center or Internal Order reporting information to relevant parties.
· Monitor and optimize the processes in own responsibility continuously and check against guidelines or checklists, if available.
· Ensure fulfilment of efficiency targets (Production G&A, Funding guidelines) via budgeting and monitoring process together with Production cost-centre responsible.Propose activities for efficiencies.
Project Controlling: · Coordinate and/or support Manager, Controlling in any ad hoc initiative or HQ-driven projects
Projects, Process Improvement and Ad hoc Assignments · Continuously perform critical assessment of processes in GD Markets Controlling, support and implement enhancements in planning and reporting methodology, e.g. MBC GD planning and simulation tools, actuals reporting, Internal Order reporting, marketing costs tracking to allow efficient DAG reporting and other related system interfaces.
· Initiate improvements where necessary with internal departments for smooth and timely DAG submissions related to planning/budgeting/actuals.
Production Process Development: · Strongly contribute to the development of processes and systems as well as develop own tools and techniques that will enhance production controlling performance.
Qualifications
• Possessed recognized university degree in finance, Accounting or professional qualification in the field of Accounting
• Min 8 years of working experience, preferably in MNC environment
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Analytical and detailed oriented
• Hands-on experience in Financial systems would be an added advantage
• Strong PC software skills in MS Excel, Words and Powerpoints
