PURPOSE The Associate Content Design Specialist must check content in various languages to ensure it does not contain any design errors.
He/she must track omissions, inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and visibility errors resulting from OCR, translation, and DTP tasks.
This may involve correcting, removing, adding, and formatting content to prepare source content for translation and ensure the translated content is meaningful before delivery to local customers.
The specialist works effectively with the IQVIA Translation Services team and external resources to deliver high-quality services.

The Content Design Specialist collaborates closely with the Associate Director, the Head of Operational Excellence, Project Managers, and internal/external stakeholders as appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to delivering translation effectiveness commitments to stakeholders and clients.Check content in one or several target languages and identify design issues based on guidelines and source content requirements.Analyze and resolve correctness and usability issues to meet quality standards and deadlines.Collaborate with Project Managers to collect and incorporate quality issues into performance metrics and trend analysis.Act as a liaison between Project Managers, reviewers, and post-editors to resolve issues efficiently.Clearly define and describe issues to inform Project Managers and linguists, enhancing their performance and engagement.Work with leadership to document major quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement of QC and QA processes in the translation supply chain.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Fluency in at least one target language, including vocabulary, terminology, syntax, grammar, and spelling.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.Experience proofreading, editing, formatting, and validating content in at least two languages, including the native language, is a strong asset.Experience as a translator, linguist, and/or DTP specialist is advantageous but not mandatory.Project management experience is a strong asset.Experience handling large content projects is desirable.Knowledge of software QA, QC, DTP, and OCR methodologies, tools, and processes is beneficial.Experience working in international environments and using CAT or content editing tools is advantageous.Strong communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proactive work approach.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in a linguistic, business, or scientific field is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Extensive keyboard use with repetitive finger motions.Frequent use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate speech perception.Regular prolonged sitting.
