We’re looking for a skilled and passionate BI Engineer to make OLX the best Latam’s real estate platform you’ve ever heard of! You’ll be part of CTX team. We’re a team of 5,000 ambitious, curious people building marketplace platforms that make it super easy for anyone to buy and sell almost anything, boosting local economies.
What responsibilities will you get when working with us?
Build and continuously improve very complex ETL data pipelines that consume data from various systems and build a unified dimensional or star schema data model for analytics and reporting
Maintain and improve our data infrastructure stack based on AWS cloud (Redshift, S3). Knowledge of Presto, Glue, Athena and Spectrum it's a plus.
Monitor and maintain a complex set of jobs running on distributed clusters
Work with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and a growing global team to help in analyzing data and derive new insights.
Lead numerous requests concurrently and strategically, prioritizing when necessary
Use business intelligence and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Micro Strategy, etc.) to empower non-technical, internal customers to access data and make decisions.
What will you need to be successful in this role?
2/3 years experience as Data Engineer or ETL developer working with very large volumes of data
Advanced SQL skills across a variety of data warehousing solutions
Solid experience in at least one programming language preferably Python
Experience in world-class business intelligence solutions
You have experience building self-service reporting solutions using business intelligence software (Tableau, Microstrategy)
You have outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities and are not content to let a mystery go unsolved.
You are a confident communicator (oral, written and presentation) who is able to efficiently collaborate and influence peers and cross-functional teams to build the right experience for internal customers.
You have experience in operating in a global environment with geographically dispersed teams
You are ambitious, comfortable working in a fast-changing environment and can easily switch contexts as and when needed.
Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English
