Job Description: Decision Making - The Role will need to find the best Supply solution that will take into account the cost and the speed of execution working with a multifunctional team.
- The role has a strong responsibility in providing visibility of the project progress, exposing barriers and risks and driving the stakeholders to make key decisions at critical moments throughout the product development.
- Empowered to make recommendations and take decisions according to the applicable SoA throughout the projects assigned to him/her.
- High degree of integrity, business code of conduct required in all decisions.
Financial Responsibility - Ensure that all the projects under his/her responsibility area are implemented with the assigned budgets and timelines.
- Member of the extended Innovation Team of PEBAC and as such co-responsible of the Innovation performance of PEBAC in terms of NSV and TP.
- COGs management of the project is critical.
Ensuring project stays on budget and that COGs targets are achieved.
- OTIF delivery of all the projects assigned to him/her.
- Any risk in fast tracking projects is covered by underwrites.
Management Responsibility - Reports to Southlac Head of Innovation & Brand Change although it has a very high degree of interaction with the Supply team as that is the governor of all the supply aspects of the Innovation Agenda.
- Critical to ensure the engagement with any other Supply Chain and Technical resources internally and globally in Diageo as well as externally.
- Southlac Key Stakeholders: Extended Innovation Team (Marketing, Supply Finance, CMO, Commercial).
- Global Supply Key Stakeholders: Technical Centres; Spirits Centres of Excellence, Procurement Supply Team.
- Southlac Supply: Supply Lead Team, Supply Planning, Procurement; Governance Mgr.
- Has high authority in dealing with the multitude of decisions/challenges required achieving business and personnel performance.
Complexity of the Role - Increasingly high:
Accountability to deliver an increasingly wide Brand Change & Innovation Agenda in Southlac, across more and more categories of spirits.Wide number of internal stakeholders, located in different countries and functions (Marketing, Finance, Technical, etc).Extremely complex regulatory environment (different in each country).Irregular IS infrastructure and Tools available.Interfaces with individuals in various functions, external vendors and regulatory agencies.Strong project governance and supply project management is necessary.Key Outputs/Deliverables - Co-lead the delivery of the Southlac Innovation and Brand Change on-time, on-budget.
- No Reputational exposure occurs across the TPO's sites.
- Risk Management is in place with the projects assigned to him/her.
- Delivering the projects at pace according to the agreed timeline and cost (OTIF Gate 5 and at COGS).
- Providing supply input and commercial grounding during project development phases, driving resolution of commercialization hurdles that may arise and managing regular project communications (risks and progress) to sponsors and stakeholders.
- Utilizes expert project management skills to develop and manage project timelines, address both technical and resourcing challenges and ensures risk profiles and mitigation plans are developed and executed for each project.
- Legal compliance - knowledge of complex legal restrictions registration, product classification and labelling.
- Strong level of influence to steer stakeholders to follow the process.
- Consistently demonstrates pride and commitment to Diageo, behaves authentically, focuses on finding solutions, and develops trusting relationships across the organization.
- Engagement with all functional heads to ensure resources are assigned to the project.
- Ensure CARM/GAR compliance in the Brand Change & Innovation area.
Qualifications and Experience Required - A University degree, ideally any type of engineering.
- Post-graduate degree in business, engineering supply chain is helpful.
- Spanish and English language mandatory.
- Demonstrated 3+ years of experience in similar role or in other supply chain roles, specially in Procurement, Planning or Manufacturing/Logistics, preferably in the beverage/alcohol business or CPG companies.
- Experience on managing successfully product introduction and innovation processes from a supply side in complex and global CPG companies would be a plus.
- High potential in leadership management skills.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment is a plus.
- Good financial and budgeting understanding.
- Computer literate: MS Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint.
Excellent data management.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading/participating in process improvement /systems projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of performance improvement in previous roles.
Working options - Role must be located in Buenos Aires.
Functional Capabilities - Understanding of overall supply chain practice in Diageo and/or a CPG company.
