Descripción de la Plaza/nThe Business Development Manager is first and foremost responsible for driving company sales and acquiring new business. Additional responsibilities include managing relationships with key customers to assure their satisfaction, identifying areas of potential growth and working closely with the production team to assure effective delivery. The BDM aims to understand the customer's demands, plans how to meet these demands, and generates sales and long term business relationships for the company as a result.
Functions
? Take part in the development of assigned or self-implemented initiatives within the business development area related to strategic growth, geographical expansion, company-wide implementations, entering new markets and industry verticals, partnering with industry associations, etc.
?Analyze client evolution and growth during first period of relationship
? Detect potential for growth and approach client with proposals
? Regular status meetings with account and project managers to assure high service level
Attend relevant industry events, trainings or conferences to strengthen the company’s brand and develop relationships with prospects and customers
? Travel to customer meetings or events as needed
? Stay abreast of industry trends, new developments and competition
? Supervise marketing campaigns to maintain assigned customers informed of relevant events or initiatives and write relevant articles or press releases
? Submit all required sales and activity reports, timesheets, expense reports and forecasts
? Research new opportunities through associations, bidding sources and different sales channels
Requirements
Formal Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Translation, Business Administration, Marketing or related fields
Skills
? Strong English and Spanish oral and written communication skills (Portuguese is highly desired)
? Good interpersonal, decision making and problem solving skills
? Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
? Strong research and strategic analysis skills
? Effective time management and result driven
Background
? 3-6 years of sales experience in a similar industry
? Experience identifying potential clients and decision makers within clients´ organization
? Experience developing business proposals
?Experience working in an international environment with remote workers
? Experience working in a fast paced working environment and under pressure
