Business Control Manager – Data Privacy - Associate

The open role is for the Data Privacy Control (DPC) or Data Privacy Champion group in Buenos Aires. The team was initially set up in 2018 following the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the EU and expanded globally in 2019 in order for the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) to meet the demands of the Privacy Policy Firmwide.

Data Privacy Champions are located in New York, London and Hong-Kong and are their roles and responsibilities are:

- - Manage the control framework for Personal Information (PI) and Client Confidential Information (CCI), as processed across JPMorgan, including the Business Technology and Operations

- - Define a sustainable controls framework that is locally compliant and globally consistent

- - Interface with CIB business to raise awareness and advice on initiatives and available tools

- - Identify strategic solutions and controls that meet current and emerging Data Privacy rules

- - Where strategic solutions cannot be implemented in a timely fashion, identify and advocate tactical solutions across the CIB

The candidate will be working closely with the Data Privacy Champions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, participating in key initiatives and interacting with multiple lines of business globally

Candidate´s Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop an understanding of Privacy legislation and internal privacy and confidentiality policies and its application to the business

o Support the management and or creation of PI Inventory

o Assist in monitoring adherence to regulatory change

- Assist with the governance over data privacy within the CIB, including supporting the strategy and execution of Privacy Regulation and Privacy Policies

o Reporting: Produce various reporting to monitor and manage Data Privacy

o Inventory Management of Privacy Notices and other Data Privacy requirements

o Training: Metric production, delinquent reporting and follow -up

o Incident Management – working with regional DPC to administer all aspects of the process, including recording in GLAS, Quality Control over the content, and data analysis

o Monitoring of reconciling of Corporate tools (i.e., Seal)

- Assist on Data Privacy Programs (such as Policy implementation and regulatory changes) within CIB including:

o Program communications

- Materials and active participation in privacy committees, working groups and forums
- Program/project plans, risk/ issue assessments

- Assist in evaluating and performing ongoing analysis of the business’ risk and control environment, as it relates to Data Privacy / Information Risk, to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control breaks

o Establish and monitor reporting of Issues /AP’s

- Perform ongoing analysis of program related data (e.g., KRI/KPI) and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies

Qualifications:

- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter who takes ownership

- Desired background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance preferred

- Strong team player with excellent partnering and influencing skill

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analytics preferred using Excel, Access

- Strong analytical, problem solving & process re-engineering skills

- Investigative mindset, able to see issues at both a high-level and in detail

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Good organizational skills - manages & prioritizes multiple tasks within deadlines
