The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is offering internship roles based in Buenos Aires to work in a Data Quality (DQ) team.
The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal services to the firm and is organized by practice groups that generally align with the firm’s lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure encourages legal teams, businesses and staff areas to discuss legal, regulatory, and business developments effectively and in a timely manner.
The Office of the General Counsel (OGC) supports the Legal department's delivery of legal services through an application of Legal and other professional disciplines. The DQ Team will be responsible for data quality within the Legal Data Practice team, working closely with the Legal Data Central product team. The DQ team will correct data quality problems in Legal applications, investigate data quality issues, write and run data quality rules, and make recommendations to application developers and process owners to improve data quality. The team may also run data quality assessments, build data quality dashboards, and use monitoring tools / reports to proactively identify threshold exceptions to further investigate and provide insight and recommendations, based on findings.
Responsibilities include:
As an Intern you will assist the DQ (Data Quality) team run the processes that will improve data quality for the legal department. The team will improve the quality and consistency of data within Legal databases and applications by creating and maintaining data quality (DQ) rules, performing one-time cleanups and ongoing maintenance checks, while proactively driving data integrity by identifying DQ issue root causes and providing system and process improvement recommendations.

Our Legal DQ (Data Quality) team is seeking junior students who are pursuing studies in the field of Technology, Communications, Actuarial Science or similar with an interest in a career in the field of Data Management and Data Quality practices
Graduation in December 2020 or later
Be interested in learning about databases and SQL scripting
The student must possess strong analytical, attention to detail, fast learner, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English required. Must be very comfortable with reading/writing in English. (English proficiency and skill testing may apply)
Knowledge of MS Excel
All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment
Not required but it is a plus:
Knowledge of Data Structures/Databases/SQL
Knowledge of application development or any programming language
