The Commercial Product Manager (CPM) is responsible for coordinating the country account and business relation with the OBs, introducing and representing Novum product proposition in the different OBs, and providing support for strategy, business development and operations during the entire life of the product.
Represents the
Novum strategy and priorities
in front of the OBs
, and represents the OBs priorities in front of internal Novum areas
Facilitating the Novum and OB relation at general/business level and ensuring consistency in all other Novum teams interactions with the different OBs stakeholders
The CPM will be the main point of contact to sort out any difference in any area that may arise between Novum and the OB
The Commercial Product Manager (CPM) provides product line support for strategy, development, deployment, operational readiness and on:going OBs support.
This position requires close interaction with different OBs areas (Product and Marketing, Commercial Channels, IT, NT, Operations, etc) for pushing an supporting Novum during its entire lifetime.
Strong communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities
Represent Novum in front of the OB:
Support Novum strategy: understanding in detail Novum features from a product and a technical perspective
provide further insights into OB to be able to front OBs without having to constantly involve Product Manager (PM).
strategy: understand why and trends (from PM, UX and own resources), bring local market insights (from OBs and end customers) into strategy
roadmap: understand what and when
Support Novum teams during development and deployment phases:
From a local perspective, help project manager, product manager and tech lead to find out the right persons in the OB, accelerate conversations, chase issues, etc
Follow up Novum evolution along its lifetime:
Support Novum evolution, understanding OB needs and influence in the Novum roadmap. Be able to produce a dialog with the OBs to communicate whats coming and get OBs inputs (not requirements). Challenge needs based on business indications (additional users, additional engagement expected/planned)
Understand Novum strategy to work jointly with the OB and Novum product areas in defining local roadmaps, evolution, etc
Bring OB insights and inputs within product team and growth marketing team: defend relevancy of this into the roadmap (challenge Product)
Maintain and support OBs in product launch plans and promotional efforts
Support Growth Marketing Team to define acquisition strategy to the OB
Define, generate and control all the communication between the OB and other company areas
Create locally:focused presentations and demos for new functionality based on the global material produced by PM
Identify product references from other OBs to translate into their own discourse (e.g. share insights)
Balance local needs/environment with global approach: find synergies across several OBs
Identify and communicate internally into Novum teams, the local OB strategy, market, customers, marketing evolution, processes, etc to be able to generate internal knowledge of the local business of the OB
Key work relationships
The CPM role will report into the Head of CPMs (Business Development Area), and will have the following key work relationships:
With OBs local product/marketing/commercial channels teams to support definition of local strategy for channels and communication and gather insights/input
With OBs technical teams to support Novum tech teams during implementation phases
With PMO at a PM joint council, to aggregate insights across OBs and find synergies. Sync sessions to be held at least fortnightly, although in the first rounds should be a weekly set up to create the process. Bring OB and local market insights into the council discussions
