Role Summary:
Role Summary/Purpose Take full Ownership on the Civil operations, manage site supervision and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of relevant scope, in the required quality and in a save working ambient. Interface with engineering to ensure buildability and on time delivery of design. Ensure proper support to the contracts management is given in the entire work scope handled under the manager's lead
Essential Responsibilities:
Operational
Takes ownership on The Civil Turnover Packages (CTO) definition. The elaboration and necessary revising of the Civil Specialized Structure Schedules (esp. Temp Structure) Determination of Civil QC Inspection Process. Checking of compliance of construction with scope and quality requirements. Technical execution expertise for a specific subject (soil condition, soil improvement, concrete works, steel structure, finishing works, roads and landscaping, specialized structures). Give support to: The interface management of Master Time Schedule (MTS). The elaboration and necessary revising of the Civil Site Time Schedule (STS) based on design to construction sequence. Progress monitoring and assessment of Time to Complete. Root Cause Analysis of all non-budgeted cost.
Managerial (Budget / Administration / People)
Give support to: Civil Project, Strategy development and updating Change Management Personnel Planning and management based on Civil STS (PRM/P6). Elaboration of Project Organization Chart with correct functions (incl. Procurement team) Setting and reviewing tasks & objectives for his subordinates- Definition of the Civil, Communication plan information flow and document distribution) Establishing the Project Progress Reporting, Establishing the Design Progress.
Reporting
Project meetings (Kick-off, team, monthly, etc.) Design meetings (Kick-off, weekly, monthly internal and external), Elaborating Risk Assessment and Rating. Elaborating Risk Mitigation Plan and follow-up of the same. Preparation of technical conditions of subcontracts. Evaluation, negotiation and award recommendation of Civil Subcontractors. Take Ownership on: Establishing the Execution Progress Reporting. Execution meetings (Kick-off, weekly, monthly internal and external. Specific Functional/Technical authority (besides DoA) Define organizational structure for Civil Supervision. Team Manage Civil Supervision team members. Represent Civil Construction with ownership related to Quality and Time. Contribution, take ownership and support related projects to comply with cost, time and quality targets
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Preferably university degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementMinimum – Civil diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Previous experience as Superintendent or Supervisor – EPC or Subcontractor Company –in Power Plant Business
