Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a VAT Junior Accountant to join our team.
This position is based at our Santa Fé facility.
The Lead Buyer is responsible for provides support to the Latin American excluding Brazil (all Spanish speaking countries) Value Added Tax (VAT) Center of Excellence (COE) and reports to VAT Supervisor. Prepare, analyze, submit, reconcile and archive VAT returns and VAT Refunds request and all of its working papers. Also, VAT advisory and compliance processes.
The VAT COE supports Eaton companies in preparing, reviewing and submitting VAT returns and VAT Refunds requests in an optimal and compliant way for Latin America (Spanish speaking) region covering 15 countries and territories with more than $3,5 billion of sales and a VAT liability of $560MM.

Some activities related with the position will be:
Collaborate with the operating finance teams to collect the necessary financial information needed to prepare the Value Added Tax returns associated with the operations.
Collect data and analyze monthly ERP VAT reports (AR, AP, GL) and review Exception (OneSource) reports to detect errors that need corrections.
Analyze VAT exception reports and perform reconciliations
Prepare and submit VAT Returns, VAT Refund Requests and additional indirect tax declarations (DIOTs).
Assist in electronic archiving of all documents for VAT and other indirect tax declaration.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Experience and/or Degree in tax and accounting
Experience in Mexican Value Added Tax is desirable, but not a must have
Excellent skills in Excel is necessary
SAP/Oracle experience would be desirable
Self-started and self-disciplined
Fast learner and fast doer
Driver for results
Solutions orientedBachelor degree or equivalent experience
Strong PC application skills, including complement of Microsoft Office Software.
