Contador - Licitaciones/Contratos

The focus of this role is to continuously evaluate 360o project balance sheet related status including operation´s up dates on milestones, LDs, cost estimates, change orders or changes in performance obligations for orders included in the scope of the New Revenue Standard (ASC606)

Accountability:

- Manage calculation of Contract Asset and Contract Liability including monthly roll of changes in short term and long term
- Work with project managers on questioning their project and performance obligation cost estimates, LD status, change orders or changes in performance obligations
- Evaluate alignment with cost estimate and cost incurred at the performance obligation level
- Prepare new ASC606 schedules
- SOX control/Audit participation: Participate in regular performance, monitoring and testing of all SOX controls, as well as assist in External and Internal Audits
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Analyze all orders that are being received and approve credit limits if they are aligned with Booking Policy.
- Review of contracts over US $ 250,000 corresponding to all divisions of Argentina and South America in order to determine the method of accounting recognition and other guidelines based on ASC 606.
- Corporate Database Updating to follow up on significant contracts.
- Control and follow-up of new contracts as they progress. Keep updated local file for monotoring progress, especially cash flow and control of openned orders
- Participate in monthly and annual accounting closers. Meet Corporate deadlines.
- Report performance
- Audit assistance through the year.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years of accounting experience within a large organization, manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Advanced functions with Excel required (Pivot tables, Vlook ups, etc)
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SOX regulations required
- Revenue accounting required
- Awareness of Revenue Standard (ASC606)
- Experience with BAAN ERP, Oracle GL, and SAP/BPC Reporting system plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access
- Project Management capabilities
- Good interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
