Information about JPMorgan Chase and Co. is available at jpmorganchase.The Wholesale Allowance team is a part of the Wholesale Credit Analytics and Solutions (WCAS) group, which sits at the intersection of Credit Risk and Finance with responsibility for implementing key credit risk practices across the wholesale lines of business (LOB). The Wholesale Allowance team is responsible for defining the allowance methodology, calculating, analyzing, and validating the wholesale portfolio allowance for held:for:investment loans and lending:related commitments.The Wholesale Allowance team is looking for a strong candidate that will support the implementation of the new Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) allowance process as well as the International Financial Reporting Standards 9 (IFRS 9) allowance process that recently went live in January 2018. The candidate will collaborate closely with various key stakeholders throughout the Firm, including Credit Risk Management, Finance, Corporate Accounting Policies, Project Management, and Technology, as well as colleagues within the WCAS team.Key Responsibilities:
Support implementation of CECL through extensive user testing, requiring detailed understanding of the business requirements and ability to explain findings
Analyze and understand the wholesale portfolio and allowance results, including key drivers of allowance to explain results
Execute on the business operating model, with a good understanding of the end:to:end process, timeline, and key parties involved
Partner with technology to develop or enhance reporting and analytics tools by providing business requirements
Support the development of SOX controls for CECL in compliance with requirements, incorporating insight from auditors
Prepare presentations for senior management and other key stakeholders
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and standard operating procedures related to the allowance process
Act as subject matter expert on allowance
Qualifications:Minimum 2 years of experience, preferably with data analytics
Strong analytical, problem solving, and process re:engineering skills
Investigative mindset, able to see issues at both a high level and in detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience with creating documentation
Energetic self:starter who takes ownership
Strong team player, comfortable working with all levels of the organization
Strong technical skills in using Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Python, Tableau, and Alteryx is a plus
Interest and ability to work in a fast:paced and dynamic environment
