Cost Analyst

Position Title: Cost Analyst – Baby Care division Location: Buenos Aires – Argentina
Reports to: GL & Tax ManagerSpecific Responsibilities Collect, analyze and determine costs of business activities, such as the costs of raw materials and finished goods, costs of assembly process, landed factors, freights and other direct/indirect overheads.
Monthly calculation of MPV (Material Price Variance), FBV (Factory Burden Variance), MUV (Material Usage Variance) and CAP Variances
Responsible for Inventory valuation, both under Local and USGAAP.
Responsible for the reconciliation of all the inventory related accounts
Valuation of inventory in transit, requiring its corresponding registration to GL department.
Interact with Operations to ensure Bills of Materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date. Review and audit BOM’s to ensure they reflect the latest costs.
Perform slow moving and E&O analysis, recommending judgmental reserves.
Support supply chain on physical inventories and monitors cycle count program. Analyze Inventory Shrinkage and Scrap.
Analyze actual expenses, material, import and production costs against Standard/Budget. Book differences into SAP, research and explain variances. Report this information as needed.
Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting business profitability of products.
USGAAP reporting as it relates to Transfer Pricing requirements
Support Financial Planner in Budget/Forecasting process in relation with STD costs, Inventory Valuation and Expense Analysis.
Perform ad hoc reports to support the operations.
Qualifications
Accounting Degree / General Accounting knowledge with strong Cost Accounting base
Fluency in Spanish with a moderate knowledge of English
Experience
Knowledge of cost calculations and analysis with a minimum of one year of experience
Ability to work with spreadsheets (MS Excel )
