Your Role at MediaLabAt MediaLab, the Data Team is responsible for making data available throughout the organization.
As a data analyst, you will work closely with business users to understand business drivers and find actionable insights that can be used to improve efficiencies and outcomes.
You will use your deep understanding of the programmatic ad business to inform your investigations within a vast dataset that encompasses all of MediaLab's properties, focusing on identifying and interpreting trends related to core advertising metrics like ad requests, ad fill rate, viewability, eCPM, etc.
Reporting to the director of data management, you will partner with data engineering, business intelligence, and your customers.
What You'll DoPerform deep-dive analyses to answer complex business questionsDraw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations based on data analysis to test hypotheses that drive incremental revenue for MediaLab's Assembly ExchangeUtilize strong SQL and Excel skills to manipulate and analyze dataDevelop expertise in MediaLab's ad stack, becoming a subject matter expert and resource across the organization for questions about data sourcesExtract, load, and transform data from multiple sources for global business reportingCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business leaders, to gather requirements, prioritize projects, and deliver actionable insightsDrive decision-making through data insights, quantitative analysis, and A/B testingWhat We're Searching For1-2 years of industry experience in Ad Tech with understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including concepts like openRTB, DSPs, and SSPsComfort with statistical models (regression, clustering, correlation) and experience with Python or RExperience researching open-ended questions and deriving insightsExpertise in data visualization and using insights to make recommendationsAbility to manage multiple projects with attention to detailAutonomous operation with ambiguous datasets to uncover trends and opportunitiesSkilled in manipulating and integrating data from various sourcesProficiency in test design, model development, and documentationExperience applying deep dive and root cause analysis to impact KPIsHands-on experience coding in R or Python in social, mobile gaming, or technology industriesMaster's Degree or PhD in a quantitative field is a plusAt MediaLab, we value diversity and are committed to an inclusive, equal-opportunity workplace.
