Position Summary
NXTP Corporate Partners is building a project unique to the region to build value upon data analytics and we are looking to bring on board an intern to work on a data management project. The goal of the project is to map and update our proprietary entrepreneurship stakeholders database in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This role involves entering data from various sources into the company’s database system for processing and management. The candidate that takes the position will need to efficiently manage a large amount of information that is often sensitive or confidential.
All information inputted by the Data team will then be used by other people for reference, sales, reports and other value adding actions.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and sorting documents for data entry
- Entering data into database software and checking to ensure the accuracy of the data that has been inputted
- Resolving discrepancies in information and obtaining further information for incomplete documents
- Creating data backups as part of a contingency plan
- Responding to information requests from authorised members
- Testing new database systems and software updates
What you’ll be working on:
- Research multiple data sources on the web
- API research
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation,
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
Job qualifications and requirements
- Computer literacy and familiarity with various computer programs such as MS Office, google suite, spreadsheet software in general (formal computer training may be advantageous in progressing in this career).
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and financial notation
- Ability to work to time constraints
- Oral and written proficiency in english.
- API REST literacy.
- Data management automatization via third party tools (IFTTT, Zappier)
- At least one year of relevant of work experience in related industries.
Complementary skills
- Working oral and written portuguese is a plus
- Machine learning and data mining knowledge is a plus.
- R and/or Python literacy
