As a Data Visualization Engineer in a global product organization building outstanding mobile experiences for hundreds of millions of users across emerging markets you will be responsible for driving the data visualization strategy across product development teams. You will ensure that all decision makers have access to the right data, at the right time, presented in a way that is easily understood and consumed.
Collaborating with leaders across product management, business, analytics and engineering you will take a leading role in how information is curated, distilled, and presented to the rest of the organization. You will be a central figure in the Analytics team as you work to bridge the gap between the analysis and insights generated by the team and the business and product leaders that rely on those insights to make decisions.
What responsibilities will you get when working with us?
Use business intelligence and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Micro Strategy, etc.) to empower non:technical, internal customers to access data and make decisions
Support the development of performance dashboards that encompass strategic metrics to be reviewed with multiple partners : Product managers, senior leadership, business teams
Build ETL pipelines that consume data from various systems and build a unified dimensional or star schema data model for analytics and reporting
Work with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and a growing global team to help in analyzing data and derive new insights.
Participate in defining standard methodologies around report development, testing, access management, and report refresh scheduling.
Lead numerous requests concurrently and strategically, prioritizing when necessary
What will you need to be successful in this role?
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical field
Work Experience: 3+ years of meaningful experience with ETL, data modeling, and business intelligence architectures as well as in relational database concepts with a shown knowledge of SQL
You have experience building self:service reporting solutions using business intelligence software (e.g., OBIEE, Tableau Server, Micro Strategy etc.).
You are knowledgeable about Big Data solutions such as Hadoop, Pig/Hive or other frameworks
You have outstanding troubleshooting and problem:solving abilities and are not content to let a mystery go unsolved.
You are a confident communicator (oral, written and presentation) who is able to efficiently collaborate and influence peers and cross:functional teams to build the right experience for internal customers.
You have experience in operating in a global environment with geographically dispersed teams.
You are ambitious, comfortable working in a fast:changing environment and can easily switch contexts as and when needed.
