WHAT WE NEED IN THIS ROLE
We're looking for a Senior level HR/People Business Partner for our Engineering, Product and Design (EPD) teams that are growing quickly! In this role you will be an active advocate of Looker’s culture and values, partnering with the EPD business leaders to help them proactively scale & develop their teams based on data. You will be a safe and approachable resource to Lookers within the EPD organization while balancing the needs of individual Lookers’ with Looker’s overall philosophy, principles, and available resources to come to productive solutions.
You will have the opportunity to design, implement and oversee various Global Talent & Engagement Programs in partnership with our entire People Business Partner team. This is a great opportunity to go deep with the EPD teams and have exposure to all parts of Looker through global program management & execution.

This individual needs to be able to quickly establish credibility & trust with our EPD leaders. Being a part of a rapidly scaling SaaS enterprise business is a plus! This is a full time role which we are open to being based in either Santa Cruz or San Francisco - this person will be spending time in both offices due to the EPD organization being split between the two.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:
Partner with EPD leaders and managers to proactively architect their teams for rapid scale while continuing to foster our Looker values and engineering culture. (Develop the best organization structure, communication practices systems, and processes)
Collaborate with the Looker People Business Partner team in planning and executing global HR programs and initiatives
Make our people managers the amazing managers Lookers deserve through various forms of informal and formal coaching & development initiatives. Help teach them how to fish!
Coach the leaders and the EPD organization to actively cultivate an inclusive team and partner with our DE&I team on making progress on key DE&I initiatives and priorities
Provide HR support and consultation to Lookers within the EPD organization; answering employee and manager questions about People related programs, guidelines, policies, and other HR-related items (Performance, Compensation, career development coaching, etc)
Identify opportunities to improve Looker people policies by connecting the dots across multiple experiences of our Lookers. Take initiative to identify and propose solutions to correct inconsistent HR policies and gaps
WHAT YOU BRING TO LOOKER
5+ years experience as an HR Business Partner preferably in tech companies
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
Demonstrated success in change, project, and program management - time in a Center of Excellence/Talent Program Mgmt experience is a plus
Experience working with mid-sized companies and helping organizations scale quickly;, SaaSs tech company experience is a plus
Experience supporting distributed organizations in the HRBP role
Strong client-facing skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills, execution. skills, domain expertise and empathy
International experience is a plus
