China is our most important and greatest market and is pushing massively towards electric mobility. Standards and regulations for New Energy Vehicles change rapidly. Within this fast-growing and developing business of Mercedes-Benz in China, the electric drive department is continuously developing. While series production for PHEVs and BEVs will soon be running under full steam, new electric products need to be implemented. For our Electric Drive Unit team, this means more and more components will be localized with local engineering, including E-motors, inverters, and other sub-components within the eATS (elektrischer Antriebstrang). This means you will: Be responsible for the integration and application of localized eATS in China.Be responsible for planning, management, and execution of validation for eATS localization.Provide engineering support for joint venture BBAC.Provide engineering support for MB and BBAC testing groups.Make proposals for future eDrive and Inverter concepts.Qualifications: Education: University degree in electrical, mechanical, or automotive engineering.
Specific requirements: Experienced in the development of Inverter/E-Motor/Transmission or other HV components.Good understanding and practical experience in development projects.Deep knowledge of electric drive unit development and testing.Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience (e.g., CAN-Tools, Measurement tools).Programming skills and know-how (e.g., Python, MATLAB).Project management skills to manage cross-functional teams and suppliers.Self-responsible working attitude, self-motivated, and innovative work style, striving for constant improvement of work efficiency.Communication skills with various hierarchy levels and different cultural backgrounds.Strong planning and supplier management skills.
