Join to apply for the Enterprise Architect role at Assurant For the Global Technology Strategy and Architecture team, this position provides leadership as a change agent to enable the business strategy with new and enhanced capabilities.
They will define and drive toward a future state that increases portfolio agility while avoiding and mitigating risk.
They establish relationships with key partners and leadership based on personal integrity and trustworthiness.
Focus areas will include cloud, enterprise integration, API management, application rationalization and a common application architecture.

Primary Job Accountabilities/

Responsibilities Include

Roadmaps: strategic planning to accelerate progress toward target stateOpportunity definitions: signature-ready recommendations to bridge from strategy to executionTechnology standards: enable optimal technology add, remove and reuse decisionsInnovation: documenting the relevant top emerging trends and technologies with their associated impacts and recommendations; managing idea pipelineGovernance: guiding principles, reviewing and aligningStakeholder engagement: build/maintain relationships, advising, consulting, staying connected/awareRecommending high-level solutions in response to business imperativesDevelopment and implementation of enterprise architecture practice improvements


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree8 years of experience in a technology role


Environment/Physical Demands

10-15% Travel

Experience with and understanding of the deliverables and value proposition of Enterprise ArchitectureStrong understanding of corporate strategy (and how technology supports and enables)Deep understanding of technology trends and a broad knowledge of technology products and vendorsExperience influencing significant, positive changeExperience establishing long-term, collaborative relationshipsExperience developing cost benefit analysis around technology decisionsAbility to organize and lead diverse groups toward common goalsEnterprise-mindset: ability to identify opportunities that maximize benefit to the enterprise as a wholeSystems and conceptual thinking: ability to capture the key elements of a system into a simple abstraction that empowers good decisionsCritical and analytical thinking: ability to analyze multiple long and short-term competing factors to arrive at high-quality recommendationsCommunication: ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, and presentation skills) to multiple levels within the business and technology organizationsIntellectual curiosity: ability to learn quickly and with enthusiasm


Preferred Experience And Knowledge

Prior experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution ArchitectMultiple years of strategic planning experienceStrong vendor management, portfolio management, project management and enterprise change management skillsExposure to multiple technology environments within large, diversified companiesExperience defining and executing application rationalization, enterprise integration, API management and cloud strategies
