Field Test Engineer (Gfit)

As a global consulting, management and engineering services company we develop and implement innovative solutions to today’s complex technology challenges that help our clients succeed at every stage.As a Field Tester at P3 Communications, you will be responsible for executing pre-defined test procedures, performing mobile trace collection and recording test performance data used to complete a final report regarding the readiness of a device. We are looking for Field Testers to join our team who are experienced with testing mobile devices and who possess advanced knowledge of mobile networks.

A Day in the Life:

Testing handset software and hardware in live networks in a mobile or stationary CDMA, LTE and/or GSM environment.
Must be capable of domestic and/or international travel.
Perform field testing (drive testing) in designated test areas for various operators
Perform feature testing: such as SMS, MMS, LBS, GPS, PTT etc.
Use logging tools to collect the data from the field to be analyzed by others
Testing of devices based on Android, iOS, Microsoft, Blackberry, and application testing.
Perform desktop and web-based software / hardware testing
Perform E2E scenarios for core device functionalities; testing may include objective functionality or subjective usability
Up to 75% travel could be expected; most will be local travel by car but on occasion may be required to travel out of state
What You Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or Computer Science
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret a wide variety of instructions, documents, and written or oral information
Candidate must be technically sound, detail oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Fundamental knowledge of RF technology: CDMA, GSM, LTE protocols
Experience in call processing for CDMA & GSM devices
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Willing to work weekends and holidays if needed
What you might also have:

2 years of experience in the telecommunications industry or as a field tester preferred, but not required
Experience with STT tool a plus
