We have a client in the La Jolla area that needs care 2-3 days per week, approximately 8 hour shifts (10am-6pm) - this could offer more shifts as well. Client loves clothes shopping, manicures and going on frequent outings.

We also have other shifts that you'll be notified of, all in North County, which will be available for your to pick up when you're not assigned with this La Jolla client.

Job Summary:

The Home Care Aide (HCA)
provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

- Personal Care Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, nail /skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assisstive devices (wheel chair, walker, crutches, cane), change of position, with toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding.

- Companion/Sitter/Household Management Provide companionship and respite services for familyPerform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms.

- Medication Services Assist with medications that the client self-administers.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

- HCA Registered in the State of CA with a PER ID number

- At least six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities).

- Achieves a minimum score of 80% on competency exam (orientation Training)

- Meets passing criteria on DEARS Ethics test

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.

- Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.

Service Area

Caregivers are aware that our service area is Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Bonsall, Valley Center, Escondido and Rancho Bernardo. Caregivers applying should be able to service these areas.
