The Opportunity

As a Total Rewards Generalist for Great American Life, you will report directly to the Head of Human Resources. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering compensation programs and administering benefit programs.

The Team

The Great American Life Human Resources team will be located onsite in Cincinnati when the company determines it’s safe to return to the office but will start remotely in the interim. Successful candidates for this team will be HR professionals who can manage priorities effectively and adapt quickly to achieve goals. They will adapt and thrive in complex, uncertain and changing situations while also being able to inform and influence others clearly, timely and appropriately. These professionals will also drive collaborative solutions and results by seeking and valuing diverse backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

The Impact

As the Total Rewards Generalist on this team you will have direct impact on the organization through, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Counsel management and HR Generalists on the interpretation and administration of compensation programs, policies, and practices.
Partner with management and HR Generalists on hiring and employee job changes, including promotions.
Manage annual compensation and processes, including market pricing reviews and compensation planning.
Manage other compensation activities including job evaluations, survey participation & management, bonus plan administration, job pricing, and job catalog maintenance.
Provide ad hoc analysis of compensation data including pay equity to provide on-going support to management and HR Generalists on a variety of compensation-related matters.
With guidance from MassMutual Benefits, serve as the Benefits primary contact, administering benefits programs and annual benefits open enrollment.

The Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
At least 8 years of professional work in a Human Resources role
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills

The Ideal Qualifications

Advanced degree
Experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday

Additional Knowledge/Skills/Abilities needed:

Strong analytical and communication skills
