Overview The Integration & Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and scaling automation across Nerdy's SaaS platforms—integrating systems, improving service delivery workflows, and enabling visibility and reliability across IT & Security operations.

Learn more at > Qualifications Required: 3+ years of experience building automations and integrations across SaaS platforms. Proficiency in Python and REST APIs, with experience designing orchestration logic and workflows. Experience with platforms like GitHub Actions, AWS Lambda for scalable automation. Knowledge of configuration-as-code principles and data formats such as JSON and YAML. Systems-thinking approach for resilient automations with observability and fault tolerance. Understanding of secure design, access control, and audit logging. Strong communication skills in English and ability to work remotely in an async environment. Preferred: Experience with metrics pipelines, alerting, and dashboards. Support of service workflows like onboarding and compliance automation. Familiarity with ITSM concepts. Experience working with Security or DevOps teams. Interest in platform engineering and extensible tooling. Responsibilities Design and implement automations connecting workflows and data across IT & Security SaaS tools. Develop orchestration logic using APIs, Python, GitHub Actions, and AWS Lambda. Create reusable automation modules to improve efficiency and scalability. Implement observability practices such as logging and metrics. Establish integration patterns and standards for automation. Monitor automation health and improve performance. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop resilient automation solutions. Contribute to internal libraries, standards, and documentation.
