WHAT WE'VE GOT GOING ON
We are seeking a passionate, smart, detail:oriented Internal Communications Manager to join our team in a strategic role to help drive Looker's global, internal communications programs from our headquarters in Santa Cruz. This is an opportunity to work in a fast:paced company and drive impactful programs for a rapidly growing global workforce.
The Internal Communications Manager develops and executes internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align and inspire Looker's employees with the company's values and overall vision, strategy, goals and business objectives, driving an engaged culture. This ideal candidate will be a savvy communicator, strong collaborator, and an effective influencer who is able to build a strategic, internal communications capability for our company from the ground up, leveraging cross:functional partnerships.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Build an internal communications program from the ground up
Work closely with leadership and across departments, including HR, to develop strategic communication programs and methods/channels that build an engaged, informed and positive culture
Build and manage the internal communications calendar
Help to coordinate regular, company:wide all:hands meetings and other initiatives
Create a seamless flow of information from top:down and bottom:up that results in team members receiving important information from leadership (changes, goals, values) and leadership understanding needs of team members
Build and leverage employee feedback channels
Audit the current internal employee website and own the go:forward strategy for the site and content management
Propose and apply best practices to extend reach and engagement, and to improve delivery methods and frequency
WHAT YOU BRING TO LOOKER:
5:7 years of experience in internal, employee or corporate communications
University degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Proven project management and event skills
Ability to proactively draft, present and execute on communications plans
Calmness under tight deadlines and a flexible multi:tasker
Experience working in a global company
Self:starter with a proactive mindset that strives to achieve stretch goals
Comfortable working cross:functionally and closely with executives
