IT Automation Functional Engineer Job Description The Kimberly:Clark Information Technology Solutions (ITS) function is looking for an Automation Functional Engineer responsible for developing RPA software, monitoring production automation, developing and optimizing automation schedules, and providing level 1 support for production automation failures.
This individual will collaborate with IT business analysts and IT Automation Solution Engineers to receive automation requirements and design specifications. They will then develop and test solutions in K:Cs preferred RPA Software, provide technical support during user acceptance testing and production moves. Once automation moves to production, this individual will provide Hypercare support until solution is deemed stable.
This individual will also be involved with automation scheduling and bot optimization activities by monitoring capacity and analyzing upcoming automation use cases to slate new automation into existing schedules.
This position reports to the IT Automation Delivery Manager and will work with virtual global team members and 3rd party vendors, delivering and supporting automated solutions for various businesses and functions at Kimberly:Clark using agile delivery methods. This individual should be a self:driven and able to thrive in a fast:paced, cutting edge environment.
The role requires significant collaboration with IT resources and will at times require the ability to present technical details to a less:technical audience. Fluency in English is a must.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Core Accountabilities
Accountable for developing automation solutions leveraging RPA software utilizing best practices and following all K:C development standards. Accountable for providing technical support during user acceptance testing and production move and for providing Hypercare support post go:live. Accountable to monitor existing bot capacity to optimize schedules and to insert new automation into the existing bot environment. Accountable to provide level 1 automation support for bots that are fail while running in production. This support will require a triage of the issue to determine if a technical solution exists or if the issue needs to be routed to the business for a business resolution. Accountable to collaborate with IT Automation Solution Engineers to ensure developed solutions are built with long term reusability in mind following all K:C development standards. Collaborates with RPA vendor on technology and software considerations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education required:
B.A. or B.S. in Information Technology or related field
Experience:
1 : 3 years of IT experience
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Strong technical skills and experience with the software development lifecycle and change control procedures
At least 1 year of programming experience with RPA Software
Experience providing production support
Understands the use of design principles and when RPA software is suitable
Ability to calibrate with other technical resources to problem solve and identify solutions to technical challenges
Strong virtual meeting facilitation abilities
Prioritization and time management
Fluency in English
Preferred Skills/Qualification
Experience with RPA design patterns and practices including queue management
:2 years of programming experience with an RPA software
Hands on experience with Blue Prism ROA Software
Formal training in RPA software and experience leading a design authority function
