Your Responsibilities
Purpose of the position
The Senior Java Developer will be responsible for providing technical solutions for custom:built J2EE applications.
Candidate must have strong foundation in software development, J2EE framework, design patterns, software architecture, object:oriented programming.
The candidate should have a track record in user experience, reusability, scalability, performance, availability,
and security and will be expected to coach others in these areas.
The candidate should hold Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field and have 5+ years of active software development experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
: Will be reporting to Development Lead
: Will develop applications in Java / J2EE environment
: Participates in Scrum Ceremonies, daily standups and planning meetings
: Will be responsible for development, testing, and debugging of new software or enhancements and maintenance to existing software
: Responsible for creating unit tests
: Responsible for creating build scripts
: May be required to prepare/update documentation : requirements specifications, use cases, process flows and support documentation
: Implements and coaches best practices in writing robust code, reviewing designs, code and developer testing including reviewing code of other team members
: Follows development standards and best practices that are consistent with enterprise architecture standards, corporate standards and goals
: Will interact with the second level support team/peers to share research and findings based on the trouble:shooting
: Will work as part of team and meet sprint, release and project deliverables
: Mentors and trains less:experienced software development staff
Required Skills
Your Skills and Experiences
: Java/J2EE Framework development and design experience using JSF, Spring
: Java 1.8 or greater is preferred
: ORM or persistence frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA and experience with Oracle or Postgres database
: REST / SOAP Web Services
: Experience with Prime Faces, GWT, JMS, XML, XSLT, JDBC, JUnit, JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX
: Experience with J2EE Application Server (TomEE, Web Logic, WebSphere, WildFly)
: Agile development methodology
: GIT version control
: Experience in MVC/MVP Architectures and Web:Tier J2EE frameworks such as JSF or Angular
: Ability to take ownership of issues and follow through effectively to resolution of task / issue
: Must be a team player work well with others
: Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and track details effectively
: Strong analytical skills
: Fluent oral and written English communication skills
Good to have
: Experience in Angular and Spring Boot developments
: Experience in Docker and OpenShift
: Experience with DevOps including continuous integration and deployment
: Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and other integration tools
: Experience in JMS, Rabbit MQ
