Duties and ResponsibilitiesWill be reporting to Development LeadWill develop applications in Java / J2EE environmentParticipates in Scrum Ceremonies, daily standups, planning meetings etcWill be responsible for development, testing, and debugging of new software or significant enhancements to existing softwareResponsible for creating unit testsResponsible for creating build scriptsMay be required to prepare/update documentation - requirements specifications, use cases, process flows, UML and support documentationImplements and coaches best practices in writing robust code, reviewing designs, code and developer testing including reviewing code of other team membersFollows development standards and best practices that are consistent with enterprise architecture standards, corporate standards and goals.Will interact with the second level support team/peers to share research and findings based on the trouble-shooting.Will work as part of team and meet sprint, release and project deliverablesMentors and trains less-experienced software development staffRequired Skills:Java/J2EE Framework development and design experience using JSF, EJB 3.Java 1.5 or greater is preferred.ORM or persistence frameworks such as Hibernate, JPA & experience with Oracle or Postgres database.REST / SOAP Web Services.Agile development methodology.GIT version controlExperience in MVC/MVP Architectures and Web-Tier J2EE frameworks such as Struts and JSFAbility to take ownership of issues and follow through effectively to resolution of task / issueMust be a team player work well with othersAbility to prioritize, plan, organize, and track details effectivelyStrong analytical skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsGood to have:Experience with Prime Faces, GWT, Spring, JMS, XML, XSLT, JDBC, Junit, JQuery, JavaScript, AJAXExperience with J2EE Application Server (TomEE, Web Logic, WebSphere, JBoss).Experience with DevOps including continuous integration and deployment.Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and other integration tools.Experience in JMS, Active MQ
