Java Support Engineer - Munro

IT Resources is looking for a Java Support Engineer to join a team of important lab

Tasks/ Responsibilities:

- Consulting IT colleagues globally on Java technology in both Windows and Linux environments
- Replacing outdated Java installations with up-to-date OpenJDK alternatives, implementing patchable setups to ensure a long-term secure environment Coordinating, planning and executing technical changes in accordance to internal change framework and rules
- Providing 2nd level support in the Infrastructure Application Service team - Follow the Sun concept.
- Providing 3rd level support on Java related incidents, handling escalations from the Incident management team and provide support on technology and troubleshooting.
- Actively participate in global and regional IT projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

- Strong technical proficiency with hands-on experience in Java technologies is a must. Knowledge of Java on servers and desktops, expierence with different OpenJDK alternatives is essential.
- Knowledge of Windows Server Operating system and Linux is required.
- General Docker and Kubernetes knowledge, OpenShift Container Platform administration experience, Jenkins build automation tool experience a plus.• Knowledge and experience in scripting languages a plus (Python, Perl, batch, PowerShell).
