Job summary
The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a Learning Solutions Strategist to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work with consultants, portfolio managers, implementation managers, and instructional designers on learning analysis, design, and delivery to create effective and innovative learning solutions and programs. In addition, you will ensure that the learning solutions follow instructional design methodology and accomplish the desired business outcomes.
Primary job responsibilities
Prepare comprehensive learning solutions strategies and implementation plans to meet the identified business needs
Work with the portfolio managers and the instructional designers on designing and establishing new learning solutions
Enhance existing learning solutions and programs
Create learning programs that link organizational and learning needs to competencies, curriculum, and course objectives
Design complex learning solutions to address anticipated business needs and identified business challenges
Select the appropriate training solutions and delivery methods based on audience, capacity, budget, and learning needs
After pilot, collect course feedback by designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observation procedures to determine training effectiveness and course modification needs
Lead learning initiatives while collaborating as a team member and keeping the implementation manager apprised of the project status
Mentor instructional designers and facilitators by transferring skills to teammates, explaining how to use instructional design methodology, how to translate the subject matter into effective training, and providing management and leadership expertise
In partnership with the portfolio manager, determine if learning solutions should be created in:house or sourced from a vendor
Research and identify training solution vendors that meet the learning goals
Engage and partner with the HR team to ensure strategy and business alignment
Facilitate learning solution pilots
Coach and certify facilitators in instructor:led and virtual instructor:led delivery
Required skills
10+ years of related learning program design and development and program management experience
Recent experience creating and implementing sales development programs
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Deep knowledge of adult learning theory and the human performance improvement (HPI) model and how these theories in the design of learning experiences
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively facilitate instructor:led courses
Ability to work on your own and with diverse teams
Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly with little guidance or support documentation
Ability to edit and perform quality assurance (QA) on your own work
Understanding of agile methodology and ability to handle multiple priorities in a very fluid working environment
High proficiency and productivity in G:Suite tools, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
