Our Legal team needs more than attorneys to keep things moving. Our Legal Operations team is charged with improving and maintaining the Legal team's internal processes, systems and tools. Responsible for tracking objectives, coordinating financial planning and solving technology challenges, you are entrepreneurial, proactive and highly organized. You keep costs down, engage third-party vendors and make the Legal team's services better, faster and more efficient.
As a Legal Specialist, you drive the success of your Legal team, ready to roll up your sleeves to create and improve processes, maintain records, assist in litigation management, conduct legal research and coordinate communications across the team. You may find yourself working with multiple groups within the Legal Department, internal clients across Google, and external parties. You aren’t afraid to ask questions and you are organized in a way that never overlooks the details.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years working of working experience in the law related area
- Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently and idiomatically.

- Interest and experience in using technology to improve work efficiency.
- Excellent organizational skills, critical thinking, record keeping, time management and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure
- Excellent analytical skills as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects concurrently.
- Experience in or exposure to employment legal issues in an in-house or law firm setting
- Experience managing active litigation
- Deliver wide-ranging, accurate advisory and HR project work on a timely basis e.g. management of responses to labor courts and other labor entities, disclosure and due diligence exercises, answer policy questions.

Work on litigation matters, including managing document gathering and production, coordinating with internal and external counsel, and providing recommendations where necessary.
- Conduct research and draft documents of varying complexity e.g. employment contracts, transfer letters, and severance agreements.
- Organize and maintain centralized employment law resources and team files.
Be a liaison between the employment team, internal Google teams and external counsel in multiple jurisdictions.
