Join Western Union as a Manager, Communications for the Latin America and Caribbean (LACA) region. In this role we expect you to: Ensure that Western Union's corporate and business strategies are communicated to and understood by key external and internal audiences across LACA.Role Responsibilities: Work closely with the LACA President, his Regional Leadership as well as the Global Communications team, and be responsible for creating and executing high-impact corporate communications strategies and programs using a 360 approach.These programs will be designed to build upon Western Union's brand reputation while supporting business and revenue growth.
They will promote the Company's value proposition, customer-centric focus, corporate narrative, products, capabilities, and leadership role in the industry.Support the Director of Communications for the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Caribbean on corridor-specific communications activities that cross-pollinate across other regions.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across the company including Regional Leadership, Finance, Marketing, and HR to remain well informed of key business priorities and connect the dots.Manage and oversee a small network of PR agencies that support in-country campaign execution.Role Requirements: Highly proactive and motivated with a minimum of 5-7 years' experience in public relations and/or corporate communications, Degree qualified in either communications or a related field.Specific knowledge and experience across corporate media relations, LACA's media markets, executive communications, employee engagement, thought leadership, social media, crisis and issues management.Must be bilingual.
Spanish and English fluency is mandatory; additional fluency in Portuguese is desirable.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in the required languages.
Exemplary attention to detail, solid judgement and critical thinking are required.Demonstrate the ability to work with and influence senior-level business executives across LACA on a regular basis.Stakeholder management is key: having the ability to cultivate strong relationships, to listen, understand, and synthesize data from a variety of internal and external stakeholders.Confident, self-starter, collaborative, customer-centric, strategic and creative thinker.
