We’re seeking a Finance Manager , based in our Buenos Aires, Argentina office.
In this role, you will be a key member of Western Union’s South America finance leadership team. Position requires regular interaction with the Regional Vice President, General Manager, marketing leaders, in addition to other business and finance leaders across the region and Western Union. Position supports the LACA Regional VP-Finance as key business partner to RVP(s)/GM(s) in strategy development, setting financial expectations, analyzing business trends and providing specific recommendations to achieve goals. Additionally, is responsible for developing the financial models for pricing, structured deals and supporting M&A activities across the region.

Direct team responsibilities (MT and BP) for the financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis of business unit(s) within South America region (Argentina, Uruguay and Falkland Islands)
- Leads the preparation of revenue and expense estimates, financial plans, business forecast, and business cases presenting findings to senior management.
- Directs analysis of marketing and pricing initiatives, acquisition activities, expansion plans, capital expenditures and other business initiatives.
- Supports revenue growth and margin expanding initiatives and supports prioritization to maximize profits and ROI in coordination with ‘GMs’.
- Ensures accuracy of financial statements and prepares monthly reporting packages/presentation to management.
- Ensures that opportunities, risk, exposures and key business issues are identified on a timely basis, accounted for, and addressed.
- Supports the signing of new and existing agents and ensures that the terms meet the regions objectives and that all processes have appropriate controls in place to safeguard company assets.
- Performs all duties inherent in a management role. Ensure appropriate staff training, annual development plans, and prepares staff performance review.
What you will need to succeed?
- A minimum of 6-8 years progressive accounting/finance experience is required, 2 of which in a management capacity.
- Experience required in strategic planning, budgeting and managing varied financial disciplines.
- Advanced organizational, problem solving, and communication skills required
- CPA or MBA preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's preferred.
- Global or Multinational experience preferred
- Diverse business background
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze financial statements
- Experience in due diligence preferred
- Advanced English
