The Arthur M. Blank Family Office (AMBFO) provides investment management services and personal services to the Blank family, while also serving The Blank Family of Businesses (BFOB). Position Summary The Family Office Security Manager reports directly to the Director of Executive Protection, and is responsible for managing day-to-day security for the family office, private residences, aircraft hangar and command center. The Security Manager is responsible for supervising security associates at the primary residence and at the family office. In addition, this position is responsible for coordinating with the Blank Family of Businesses, Director of Corporate Security for off-site security monitoring of specific business locations including Flowery Branch, Mercedes Benz, Atlanta United, and the guest ranch located in Montana.
RESPONSIBILITIES Determine changes to the departmental operating structure and/or operations and oversee implementation based on continual evaluation of staff and contracted service providers.Work collaboratively with Director of Executive Protection & Senior Director of Family Services for work force management of staffing, security procedures & updates.Direct security staff in multiple security core disciplines to identify potential or existing security risks to the overall organization; research and deploy state of the art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard staff.Develop & maintains close relationships with other Blank Family of Business Security counterparts.Work closely with Director of Facilities to ensure proper security for all events.Conducts training, reports and briefings for audiences ranging from executive level members to front line associates.Makes recommended decisions on operational matters to Director and ensures department's effective achievement of goals.Identifies potential or existing security risks to the overall organization and presents those risks for resolution.Establish staff development and training protocols and functional exercises for staff.Onboard, develop, lead, and manage a team of direct reports that are a blend of Part-Time & Full-Time team members through communicating clear and concise performance expectations.Follow all security policies, procedures & protocols through creation, improvement & maintenance of safety management plans, staffing schedules for multiple locations security and events. These locations include the Family Office's Command Center, Atlanta Residence, and Hilton Head Residence.Ensure all reports of incidents are timely reported and followed up upon as well as actively monitoring and inspecting security cameras & equipment.OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of ownership, executives, other departments and vendor partners.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Executive Protection or Sr. Director of Family ServicesServe as a qualified back-up driver for Executive Protection team when necessaryParticipate as an Executive Protection Team member in providing security for Arthur Blank and Family at Atlanta Falcons and United games, MBS concerts and other events as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skill and Ability; The position requires strong management, administrative, supervisory, training, presentation, consultant, and facilitator skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed. Ability to communicate effectively with and to Executive Management, Executive Management/Family Office associate guests, other office associates, Blank Family members and the general public.Must have the ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.Must be able to maintain the utmost discretion and respecting the family's privacy.Be proficient in Microsoft Suite 365 and Genetec software. Ability to become functional in supporting utility software (Adobe, Share, etc.)Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings/nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.Skill in assessing security risks and needs.Ability to obtain necessary clearances for review of sensitive materialSuperior knowledge of technical aspects of security systems (including IP Cameras, door access, fire systems, and human resource scheduling programs).Valid Driver's License and U.S. Passport.Education or Formal Training: Associate degree in a related discipline of security, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be required.Training relevant to security systems and emergency preparedness/response. Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in supervisory experience Preferred experience security setting or law enforcement (combination of both is highly desirable)P.O.S.T. Certification or military background (preferred) Material and Equipment Used: Two-way radio.Proprietary time management and scheduling software.General office equipment to include phone, copier, computer/keyboard, etc.Security equipment to include CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm monitoring systems.About Us The Arthur M.
