WHAT WE'VE GOT GOING ON
As the Marketing Operations Data Manager at Looker, you will be responsible for defining the strategy for, and ensuring the execution of, initiatives related to marketing data quality, data unification and data access. This role is strategically focused on the governance and management of data and how it can be leveraged to drive more effective marketing. In this role, you will collaborate with departments across the organization, including demand generation, customer experience, sales operations, and data privacy.
Our ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical and process-driven approach to understanding marketing data challenges and opportunities. They should have a strong grasp of B2B marketing data and technology infrastructure and possess the ability to translate data into both meaningful and actionable insights that help guide stakeholder decision-making and increase program ROI.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
Define the strategic agenda for marketing data management
Prioritize initiatives and maintain a roadmap for data management improvements
Collaborate with marketing and sales on Looker’s data acquisition strategy to ensure that desired levels of breadth and quality are achieved
Work with other functions (e.g. sales operations, IT) to develop a broader master data management strategy
Establish ongoing coordination with Web, sales operations and IT teams to ensure visibility into changes to data and architecture
Create the measurement plan for data management, including database readiness metrics and metrics that capture the impact of database readiness on downstream marketing processes
Collaborate with data privacy team to ensure marketing data compliance with global data privacy regulations
Manage and evolve marketing tech stack related to data enrichment and cleansing
Collaborate with other functions to optimize marketing data segmentation and targeting strategies
Communicate data management status, progress and success
WHAT YOU BRING TO LOOKER
Experience
A bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science, marketing or business
Three or more years of data management experience
Proven experience driving data quality initiatives, joining data from disparate systems and finding new ways to provide data consumers easy access to the information they need
Skills
Marketing automation (Marketo preferred), Salesforce.com
Ability to work with business owners and data consumers to define data and reporting requirements
Ability to provide a vision and act as an advocate for data management
