The PHP / Symfony Developer will be joining our Am2Studio.hr team located in Croatia. AM2 Studio is a creative company devoted to purposeful ventures. We are led by our desire to produce great work and our love for life, people and possibilities. We are a team of young enthusiasts and professionals constantly striving to learn and do better more creative things for our clients and ourselves. Our core business is web development and social network marketing. Several successful years are already behind us and many more are yet to come. Our clients range from small business owners to larger multinational companies. We have also created some of our own projects that we are constantly developing and adding new features. Our current locations are in Zagreb, Croatia, and Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina and we are working with the world.
Our Work Environment
We have a results-only work environment (ROWE) so you are provided flexibility in setting your own hours and optionally working from home. Additional benefits of ROWE include no tracking of sick days or vacation time. We were inspired by Dan Pink’s Ted Talk on the science of motivation, and believe that an intrinsically motivated team is the best way to solve the problems of the 21st century (ie: we don’t use carrots or sticks!).

What you'll do:
This isn't an exhaustive list. We firmly believe in autonomy, so we are seeking a self-motivated person who can see opportunities for improvement, and are proactive enough to make it happen.
Develop ERP solutions based on Symfony and API Platform
Work with Project Manager to study the business cases and plan and estimate tasks
Develop modular architecture, allowing for maximum flexibility and customization
Improve existing modules and maintain high code quality
Test your code with unit and/or integration tests
Profile implementation for performance and scalability
Share knowledge and continuously learn and improve
What you'll bring:
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills
Proficiency in using git in a team environment (GitFlow)
Good object-oriented design (OOD) skills/familiarity with design patterns and SOLID principles
Good knowledge of Symfony components and architecture
REST API design
Software testing (PHPUnit, PHPSpec, Behat)
MySQL profiling and query optimization

There are currently about 45 of us in AM2 (Web development division of myZone), headquarters are in Zagreb and another office in Banja Luka with, but almost 50% of our team is scattered around other cities and countries working remotely. You can learn.
