We are looking for a passionate and experienced Principal Engineer in our Buenos Aires office that is eager to work with our amazing team of engineers to produce top-notch digital experiences for our more than 3 million subscribers. This role will focus on IPSY\'s many digital customer experiences, requiring a blend of deep expertise across front-end and back-end technologies along with a drive to deliver business results and delight customers. Work with fellow engineers, architects, product management, and business stakeholders to articulate and shape the technical roadmap
Drive ambitious product and technology directions, seeking out innovative opportunities that have a high impact in a fast-paced market
Design and guide the development of rich, complex, and cutting edge digital customer experiences on both web and mobile platforms
Own and deliver on key projects from start to finish (documentation to production-grade code to support procedures) in an agile development process
Mentor and develop engineers to build a strong engineering bench
Work with fellow engineers, DevOps and QA to build and maintain outstanding Engineering process
Promote a culture of innovation, pride, performance, and focused execution
Help recruit and maintain excellent and diverse engineering talent
What We?re Looking For:
Seasoned engineer with a minimum of 15+ years of engineering experience with a track record of developing and delivering complex, distributed, enterprise-class software, and successful business outcomes
A highly driven leader that is known to deliver in startup-like and highly dynamic environments
Domain expertise in the following areas: web and mobile applications and frameworks, microservices, AWS
Experience working with fellow senior engineers, product management, senior management, and stakeholders to set the vision and define technical roadmaps
Ability to lead and mentor engineers globally
A champion for creative technical trends
Acknowledged for driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow-through
An extraordinarily passionate, intelligent and rigorous thinker who can operate successfully among very bright and charismatic people
Equally comfortable and capable interacting with technologists as with business executives
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Bonus if You Have:
Expertise in monolith-to-microservice migrations
Experience with subscription and/or e-commerce platforms at scale
Expertise analytics, machine learning systems, and personalization
Experience with ReactJS, GraphQL, and other cutting edge front-end technologies
