Our customer is a young company, with 10 years in the market, facing education from a different point of view, with educational programs for all ages, from school:age children to executive adults. The great differential that the client has is the approach it gives to education since, in addition to academic curricular content; it focuses on education with a different social vision to other online education platforms.
They teach courses such as : Social and Emotional Learning : Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates : Harassment and Discrimination oriented to social education so that communities have the necessary skills to be successful in the 21st century.
The platform is designed to be inclusive and is developed to be used by all people, regardless of whether someone has some type of disability. Technologically, they work with Ruby on Rails and REACT for the educational platform, but they also have technological needs that go beyond Ruby and REACT. : UX : Data analysis and generation of metrics
Requirements
Proven experience (5+ years) developing automated test systems using Java as the programming language. Desirable use of Ruby as the programming language.
Ability to create scripts beyond record and playback. Specifically developing functions, adding control flow logic, loops etc.
Experience working with GUI object recognition and customization
Solid understanding of object:oriented programming, design and debugging skills.
Excellent understanding of software design techniques.
Experience of source control systems and configuration management.
Basic level knowledge of XML and RDBMS concepts.
Experience in Agile development methodologies preferable.
Proven ability to deliver quality results in a busy and dynamic business focused environment
