Sales Marketing Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Sales and Marketing Manager for one of our leading clients.

The Sales and Marketing Manager is responsible for managing, steering and developing the sales team to achieve profitable sales within the business area. The position will also require the holder to be responsible for marketing branding, communication and strategy across the company.

Specifically, the role of the Sales and Marketing Manager includes:

- Preparing business pitches and presentations.

- Achieving and exceeding new sales targets in value and volume, whilst planning and organising sales activities.

- Building specific brand strategies that will deliver forecasted growth.

- Assisting with new enquiries and quotations.

- Using our in-house freight software to form quotations and sales reports.

- Developing the company's identity, in order to take the business to the next level.

- Continuing to implement the marketing strategy and working with the management team to identify future opportunities for brand enhancement.

- Effectively interacting with the Operations team.

- Researching prospective customers and identifying new leads.

- Attending networking events.

- Supporting commercial business growth.

- Developing the social media strategy, with particular focus on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

- Reporting on competitor activities.

- Reporting any marketing activities that may need to be updated or changed due to findings from competitor analysis or research.

The successful candidate will have:

- Previous experience working in a Sales or Marketing role.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent IT skills.

- The ability to form strong and mutually beneficial business relationships.

- Commercially driven.

- The ability to attend business meetings.
