We are seeking an Associate level candidate for a role within the Sales and Research Support (Part of Digital Markets Production Management). Digital Markets provides technical systems and solutions to our Internal Sales and Research Businesses as well as supporting external clients interacting with JPM’s systems. Multiple applications are hosted on our client facing platform which delivers J.P. Morgan’s financial markets solutions across the full trade lifecycle: award-winning research, powerful analytics, structuring tools, multi-product trading and extensive post-trade capabilities. Additionally, Markets Execution includes a number of applications critical to the operations of our sales force, research organization and Investor Services divisions and beyond.Key responsibilities Providing Initial triage to JPMs internal Sales and Research stakeholder’s technical issue. Support of these applications will require regular engagement with Business and Tech stakeholders in order to own and route issues to partner teams. Resolve day-to-day issues impacting the Applications stack - including being first point of contact for multiple Businesses lines. Work within a team comprised of both local and off-shore resources to provide day-to-day support to both internal and external users. Collaborate with additional support teams and GTI to drive issue resolution and improve the stability of the applications, evolving the support to meet these needs. Own real-time monitoring dashboards to ensure system operability and performance are at the forefront of delivering high availability applications. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the supported systems as well as operational processes. Identify and drive creation of tooling to ensure quality management of incidents and proactive follow-ups to issues. Manage the on-boarding of new businesses, clients and applications to the platform. Ensure resiliency of the platform through managed DR/SR/HA events.The successful candidate needs to be familiar with ITIL support methodologies and concepts (Change, Incident, Problem, Event, Configuration Management, etc.) and have a proven track record of achieving the above in prior roles. A candidate who has a proven track record of supporting front office trading / sales/Research and/or external clients is a strong preference, as is someone who has previously worked in a diverse team.This position represents tangible career path opportunities within the broader Markets Production Management team, advancing the successful candidates professional growth within the firm, not only advancing the technical skillsets, in an ever changing environment, but also exposing the business side of the Sales and Research sector.Key skills:
The successful applicant is most likely to be a tertiary level or university student or graduate with a degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, engineering, computing science) and keen to develop a career in a world class investment bank with an intimate exposure to a front office environment. Incident management skills with an ability to operate under pressure and co-ordinate resources effectively, identifying a path to resolution. Drives best practices and identifies potential areas of improvement. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills -especially with end users-, team player, with an ability to remain calm under pressure while prioritising workloads to meet business expectations. High proficiency in the English language, with the ability to understand and communicate with non-native speakers from around the globe. Experience in providing desktop level support for end users and clients from different regions in order to help diagnose supplication level issues. Experience in tooling using scripting languages like Perl/Unix/Python or similar to drive down the operational risk
You have experience working one of a variety of platforms, like Microsoft Windows, UNIX/Linux, Sybase etc Demonstrate flexibility to achieve results, while being able to maintain work-life balance, and capable of adapting to shifted shifts for service coverage in other timezones.

o Exposure to system and application monitoring software - Geneos, Splunk, Open Source.
o A working knowledge of Market business flows and terminology
o Basic Networking / Infrastructure working knowledge
o Experience supporting public/private cloud based, Java, or e-commerce applications
