JOB SUMMARY
The Catalog Adviser supports the enablement of Supplier Catalogs for buyer customers. This role manages the technical and functional aspects of Catalog enablement and contributes to broader enablement project planning. This person will have regular interaction with both buyers and Suppliers to manage catalog content according to the project needs. This person will perform project related activities such as: kick-offs, workshops, requirement gathering, testing, cutover, wave planning and training in all SAP Ariba Catalogs, SAP Ariba Buying and SAP Ariba Buying & Invoice projects. They will also assist in other Catalog Team activities and enablement projects as needed. This job role supports customers in all Latin America (Portuguese and Spanish), with rollouts also being handled in English.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Focus
Provides support for Suppliers and Buyers to enable Catalog content
Provides status reporting using Ariba Network 360 tool or Atlas
Works with Project Manager, Technical and Functional leads to improve current processes
Kick-offs, workshops, requirement gathering, testing, cutover, wave planning and training
Ariba Solution Expertise
Medium/Expert level with Procurement and the Catalog Administration functionality
Practice Development
Works with Customers to create and realize their Catalog strategy
Contributes to project planning (road mapping, scope definition, etc.)
Educates Suppliers and Buyers on Catalog processes
Monitors supplier responses to test transactions
Performs catalog testing for CIF/Static and PunchOut
Provides issue resolution to Level 2 Help Desk tickets
Performs advanced troubleshooting with Suppliers
Creates and maintains catalog metrics in Network 360 or Atlas
Identifies and implements process improvements initiatives
Demonstrates ability to take initiative, develop and implement new processes
People Development
Helps to train new Team members on advanced Catalog enablement and maintenance process, CIF, PunchOut and all Catalog functions
Acts as a mentor as requested to new Team members
Shares knowledge, trainings and processes with the rest of the Catalog TeamTeamwork
Supports Catalog Team with backup of other’s Projects as needed
Proactively escalates issues to project managers and application management
Works with other Team Members to increase technical competency
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Prior work experience with catalog enablement
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Catalog enablement/maintenance, inventory or related experience
English, Portuguese and Spanish Written and Verbal communication skills
Skills
Highly organized and detail oriented
Able to juggle many projects and tasks as needed
Work in an environment with changing deadlines
Project Management experience of medium – large scale projects
Familiarity with Ariba Procurement and Catalog solutions a plus
Proven problem solving skills demonstrated through professional experience
Experience and understanding procurement systems other than Ariba a plus
Should have experience working with US/EMEA customers.
Experience in technical consulting or functional consulting a plus
Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues for catalog data and catalog transactions
Knowledge
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Project
Experience with procurement related processes (requisitioning, order processing, invoicing, and payment)
Prior experience/knowledge of XML, HTML, cXML
