We are looking for a Senior Corrosion Engineer based in Buenos Aires to work with engineers and technicians at all levels and from other disciplines. The Senior Corrosion Engineer uses relevant design, operation, testing, inspection and maintenance data combined with their engineering judgement to complete analyses, design tests, produce reports, develop procedures and make recommendations to clients.
Responsibilities
- Using knowledge and available data to produce technical reports

- Developing own technical knowledge and assisting with development of others
- Effective communication and mentoring of other individuals in department
- Assisting with group compliance with all QHSE policy and procedures
- Supporting department and company with business development activities
Essential Skills and Experience
- Working knowledge of internal corrosion monitoring and chemical treatment programs, including ICDA Methodology.
- Knowledge of cathodic protection system evaluation, including indirect inspection techniques: CIS, DCVG, PCM and ECDA Methodology.
- Sound technical knowledge of main types of studies performed/methodologies utilized
- Project Management skills
- Ability to critically review work of engineers to ensure technical excellence and development of team
- Excellent communication skills, including presenting results of technical studies to clients
Skills Preferred And Experience
- Knowledge of pipeline inspection technologies, including in-line inspection and ultrasonic wall thickness measurement
- Working knowledge of risk management systems
- Condition assessment of pipelines / pipework, including working knowledge and practical experience of integrity assessments according to industry-recognised guidance such as API 579 / ASME FFS1, RSTRENG, DNV RP F101 etc.
- Experience in presenting / authoring technical papers for conference and journals
- Experience in business development, including development of technical proposals and client liaison
- Professional in Mechanical, Chemical, materials or Metallurgy Engineer or related.
- Industry recognized qualifications such as NACE Internal Corrosion Technologist or Cathodic Protection Technician are preferred
- At least 5 years of working experience.
- English level B2 mandatory Certificate CEFR
- Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally when required
