About The Role
We are currently searching for a Senior Legal Counsel for Argentina with expertise in litigation and regulatory matters to join the Uber Legal Team as we continue to scale our business globally. Come join us, and help us build a new fabric for urban logistics that is redefining the way people experience their cities. You will report to the Legal Director for Southern Cone and Brazil and be based in Buenos Aires
What You'll Do
Work closely with the Legal team and other members of the Uber team to identify and mitigate potential litigation issues in the country, regulatory and other legal issues
Analyze lawsuits and coordinate all litigation and pre-litigation strategies (regulatory & consumer litigation) in the country. This is a hands-on role and you’ll be expected to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
Analyze, negotiate and draft regulations as applicable to Uber in the different cities in the region
Coordinate and collaborate with outside counsel to efficiently resolve lawsuits, claims and other potential disputes.
Provide strategic and proactive legal advice to internal business groups on a variety of legal matters, especially on litigation and regulatory matters. Be an active partner to internal business groups on rolling out Uber’s business in Argentina
Ensure legal risk is managed in accordance with Uber's business model, ethical values and regulatory framework
What You'll Need
At least 10 years of experience
Knowledge and expertise in litigation and regulatory matters
Fluency in Spanish and English
Strong academic credentials and law degree from an Argentinian university
Creativity in your understanding and application of the law
Possess excellent business judgment, communication, drafting and interpersonal skills
Capability of running multiple projects independently
High standards, integrity and strong ethical values
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment for a company with operations around the world
