EdgeUno is looking for an energetic Senior Network Engineer with Juniper experience to help prime our company for rapid growth and success. The perfect candidate for this role is someone who loves to troubleshoot and has excellent customer service skills. This person must be self-motivated and eager to support customers with their needs. Design, deploy & maintain systems across interconnected networks and locations using LAN, WAN, Wireless and VPN technologies. Schedule installation, upgrades and maintains systems in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Design,
and deploy complex systems and network solutions that support 24x7 environments
- Perform data backups and data recovery operations of the virtual environment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and determine root cause analysis of complex system problems and provide solutions in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Build, maintain and support Synology storage systems
- Cisco & Juniper Routers & Switch Administration (configuration & troubleshooting)
- Research & Development of new technologies & development of Proof of Concept demos
- Create, maintain and update all documentation including current procedures, training materials, etc.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of systems to ensure high availability and performance
Qualifications
- Experience in a mixed Juniper, Cisco, Arista network environment.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience supporting 24X7, high availability environments, switches, routers, load balancing systems.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience with Juniper MX, QFX, and EX series devices.
- Thorough knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong knowledge & troubleshooting skills in Networking Protocols, BGP and DWDM.
- 2+ years working knowledge of DevOps environment
- Working knowledge of cloud-based solutions
- Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independent of direct supervision and work extended hours
- Possess a wide degree of creativity and latitude
- Excellent verbal & written skills in English and Spanish.
Desired Skills
- Previous experience in telecom, hosting, data center or internet service providers.
- Bash, Python, and basic shell scripting experience.
- 2 years Layer 1 networking experience connecting multiple sites using dark fiber-based technologies.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) from a four year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering; or 5+ years of related experience and/or train
