Responsibilities: Manage high-volume inbound calls to support current customers.Deflect cancellation requests with solutions that instill confidence.Own the retention of existing customers at risk of canceling.Address complaints to increase satisfaction and secure renewals.Achieve onboarding, retention, and engagement targets.Assess client needs and recommend educational products/services.Build strong relationships with students and families.Maintain accurate client records for follow-up.Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.De-escalate challenging situations professionally.Implement coaching and feedback to improve customer experience.Qualifications: Fluent in English.3+ years experience with high-level customer escalations in account management, client relations, hospitality, or tourism, preferably over the phone.Education, teaching, or tutoring experience is a plus.High empathy and emotional intelligence.Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.Conflict management skills and good judgment.Calm and professional under stress.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and multitask.Equipment: PC or Mac with 8 GB RAM.Network: High-speed internet (50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload) via wired connection.Schedule & Training: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with at least 2 evenings and every other weekend required.Operating hours: 7:00am - 10:00pm CDT.Training: 4 weeks, 9am-5:30pm CDT, Monday-Friday, in a live, interactive setting.Benefits: Competitive hourly rate ($12/hr USD).Full-time, fully remote position.Opportunity to impact global education.Collaborative, feedback-rich environment.About Nerdy: Varsity Tutors is part of Nerdy, committed to transforming education worldwide.
